My grandparents, Ruth and Harold Billen, started Perfect Frames by Billen in 1983. Ruthie painted original miniature paintings while H framed these paintings and also created mirrors and frames. They traveled the country personally visiting hundreds of miniature and dollhouse retail stores to sell their products. As age started to catch up with them, they continued the business from home by taking phone orders from the customers they met during their travels.
Ruthie retired from painting in the late nineties after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and passed away in October 2006.
H continued to make frames and mirrors and began Internet sales in 2004. Harold passed away in January 2005 but had continued working on his favorite hobby up until then.
I took over the business in 2005. I work outside of the home 3 days a week and make frames during my free time. I value the quality and craftsmanship my grandparents put into every item they made and will continue to provide the very best in miniature frames and accessories.
